  • (Air-conditioned) buses fares cost a little over four times the fare of an ‘Ordinary’ route covering the same distance. Those buses have route numbers starting with A.
  • air conditioner: a system that keeps air cool and dry
  • A system for controlling the humidity, ventilation, and temperature in a building or vehicle, typically to maintain a cool atmosphere in warm conditions
  • An Original Equipment or Aftermarket accessory system that cools and dries the incoming passenger compartment air. Aka: a/c

    capacitors

  • A capacitor (formerly known as condenser) is a passive electronic component consisting of a pair of conductors separated by a dielectric (insulator).
  • A device used to store an electric charge, consisting of one or more pairs of conductors separated by an insulator
  • (capacitor) an electrical device characterized by its capacity to store an electric charge

This is the old Regal Constellation Hotel on Dixie Rd next to Person International Airport. This hotel was closed 2003 and was bought in hopes to restore this place but the restoration budget was too high. This shot was taken the second time I have been there. First time I was there I when through out the entire place, floor by floor even to the roof. I found a playboy mag from 1995 the denim dayz edition there in mind condition surprisingly, clothes, telephones, old photos, radios, DVD players, coats, and hardhats. Mind you there is mold and asbestos there and some of the rooms do have guess staying there and some are owners too if you know what I mean. When I was there was no security there because the car that was used to secure the premises had no plates or air in the tires. There is so much I would love to say about this place. But its a big risk to get in and stay alive for the time you in there. I went Feb 5 2011 in the cold winter and the place has not heat. The only electricity in the building is on the roof top they are the lights to guide the planes to land.

Strobist info:

What I have done here is take two sb 900′s and used them in a long exposure
may I suggest that you have your flashes set to 1/4 power or lower because there is a risk of the capacitors exploding if your flash is left in the cold for too long.

plus the flashes need to be testfired several times to light a area that you need to be lit.

Camera:
D300
24-70mm 2.8
ISO 200, BULB with remote lock @ F11 (10min exposure time)
(WB) tungsten

2 sb 900′s testfiring
one @ 1/4 (this was kept to prevent capacitor exploding in the cold )
second @ 1/8
Blue. green and red gels used.
